In the Hindi language, Basmati means "Queen of Fragrance." The grain has been cultivated at the base of Himalayan range in India and Pakistan for thousands of years, in the areas where the Yamuna & Sutluj rivers flow.
Basmati originated in Punjab region of undivided India which now spans areas of both India and Pakistan. This explains why it’s only grown in these two countries and viewed as their cultural heritage.
Top quality basmati is primarily grown in the Karnal (known as the "rice bowl of India"), Kurukshetra, Panipat and Ambala regions of Haryana in India and Kalar district in Pakistan.
Basmati also has some spiritual or physical aspects, according to the ancient practice of "Ayurveda." Ayurveda is a method of healthy living which includes concepts of mental, physical, social and spiritual harmony.
According to ayurveda, basmati is saatvic or pure and therefore, beneficial for the body and easy to digest. It is considered an excellent remedy for balancing your vata (metabolism) and pitta (energy production). By the way, ayurveda practice means avoiding instant or pre-cooked rice because it has less prana (life force) in it.

Story behind "Arya" name
Arya (árya-) is an ancient Sanskrit term which means "master, noble or lord" . The term has a variety of positive meanings, usually in spiritual contexts, but is today mainly used by scholars in the context referred to as Indo-Aryan languages in ancient Persia.
The word Arya expressed a particular ethical and social ideal of well-governed life, candor, courtesy, nobility, straight dealing, courage, gentleness, purity, humanity, compassion, protection of the weak, liberality, observance of social duty, eagerness of knowledge, respect for the wise and learned.
Aryan’s love for agriculture made them famous in representing their trade and commerce in those days and for a long time to come. Along with growing fruits and vegetables, a major product of their agriculture was rice; which became a staple food during those times.
We have kept the tradition and the name and are determined to create an Aryan natural tasting rice.
